Photo Of The Day : “Stanford Corridor”

Yet another fish eye photo I took on the Stuck in Stanford PhotoWalk led by +Trey Ratcliff, +Lisa Bettany, +Brian Rose, and +Vincent Mo. If you look carefully, there is a cool camera flash at the bottom of the staircase on the left 🙂

Photo Of The Day : “Moon Over Stanford”

This is another photo from the Trey Ratcliff (Stuck In Customs) photo walk at Stanford University on August 11, 2011. This was an amazing event, with over 200 photographers! All organized through my new obsession, Google+. This was the first Google+ Flash mob, and may have been a world record for a photo walk. Although Trey thinks it may have been 5 or 10 people shy of his Austin Photowalk. Thank you Bay Area traffic!

You can view the rest of the photos I took on my Google+ album at https://plus.google.com/photos/106719979779567208605/albums/5640125127238409201

Also, below the photo I took, is a group photo taken by Peter Adams (https://plus.google.com/106983800549406471589/posts)

If you are not on Google+ and you love photography, you NEED to be. It’s a great place for photographers to interact and share their work. Even if you are not a photographer, it is a great place to find new photographers. You need an invite though, but I have plenty to send! (You must add me to your circle though 🙂

Photo Of The Day : “The Tug Boat”

I am really curious to what the name of the barge is. I am thinking the language is Russian, but can’t be sure sure, since I cannot type those characters into my stupid American keyboard. Anyone out there have an idea? This was taken from the Commodore Events yacht while shooting the wedding of Angelina and Arthur Brooks!

Photo Of The Day: “The Leaf”

Trying my hand out at Macro Photography. This was taken on the hike to Waimea Falls in the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawaii.

Photo Of The Day : “Top Of The Mark”

I know I haven’t had many “Photo Of The Day” posts lately. This hotel project has been kicking my butt hard. 8-12 hours of straight shooting per day, not including any processing! As stressful as it can be, every day I look at an amazing view like this, and I am quickly reminded that I have THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD! This is taken from the “Top Of The Mark” restaurant and bar, on the top level of the Mark Hopkins hotel in San Francisco, California

Photo Of The Day : “The Swamps Of Hawaii”

This scene struck me as one of those classic scenes you see in your head when you think of Hawaii. Yet another scene from the beautiful Waimea Falls in the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawaii.

Photo Of The Day: “The God Of Cool”

You never know what you are going to see in the Napa Valley wine country. Such as this awesome statue at the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. This was spotted during the annual April in Carneros event. Can anyone tell me which greek god this is?

Photo Of The Day “Hawaiian Peacock”

I was lucky enough to take a last minute trip to the North Shore of O’ahu with my friend and his beautiful wife and kids, as well as his sister, her husband and their kids. Talk about a crash course in parenting! I am glad I got to spend this amazing few days with them before Mother’s day came upon us. Having no children of my own, it really gave me a better appreciation to what a parent has to go through on a daily basis. Happy Mother’s day!

Anyway, it wasn’t the tropical vacation I had necessarily envisioned. I dreamt of hot sun, warm sand, and cold Coronas. Instead I got mild temperatures, wet sand, and lots of STRONG rain. But hey, the Coronas were still cold! But without that rain and clouds, I don’t know if we would have made it to the beautiful Waimea Falls. This park consists of beautiful flowers and plants, gushing rivers, roaring waterfalls, and active wildlife. I was lucky enough to find a peacock who didn’t mind posing for the camera.

Photo Of The Day : “Wine Country Tulip”

A beautiful spring scene, taken at the Ceja Vineyards &Winery in Napa, California during the April in Carneros event. If you ever find yourself in Napa by Ceja, GO!!! Salsa dancing, bocce ball, and wine tasting. What else do you need?
